Furthermore, I will stand in solidarity with our special education teachers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to cater to the diverse needs of all students, including those who are gifted, thus fostering an inclusive and thriving learning environment for every student.

Strategic Waiver School System

A critical issue facing our district is the renewal of strategic waivers. The Gwinnett County Public School (GCPS) system operates as a Strategic Waiver School System (SWSS), which grants it flexibility in class sizes, certification requirements, expenditure controls, and salary schedules –in exchange for higher student achievement.
